New trade paperback editions of Freaky Deaky and Killshot are shipping this week.  These are two of Elmore?s absolute best from the late Eighties.  Which is your favorite?  Take a Poll in The Dutch Forum.

I guess Freaky Deaky, but definitely not by far. Killshot is way too good of a book for anything to beat it by far.

Too close to call - and quite different books.

One thing that EL does so well is incorporate information in the story. Killshot has all that stuff about iron workers and Cape Girardeau (sp?) and Freaky Deaky all the stuff about bombs and even filmmaking and none of it sticks out.

I guess a lot of that was Gregg’s research, Gregg do you know in advance in what way your research will be used, or do you just go get it all?

gotta agree with john
two sides of the same coin
somehow from here
killshot is a much more
serious work
darker
open freaky deaky
laugh and dance
open killshot
sink into deep
contemplation of complex
comedy
love them both

I could re-read either one any time.

Just echoes of comments already, I suppose, but yes, entirely different novels.
I would have to say I prefer Freaky Deaky though. Just a matter of personal taste or what appeals more to an individual I guess.
