In Maximum Bob, Elvin is telling Kathy how he ended up in prison.

He says he tried to kill the guy who set up his brother Roland. A name is never mentioned, but I’m assuming this in reference to Cal Maguire of Gold Coast. Of course, Cal being the clever cat he is, lost Elvin, who shoots the wrong guy in the men’s room.

OK guys, let the Road Dogs Touchstones commence.

Not sure whether this idea will take, but what about trivia questions about Elmore’s books? For example, In “Swag”, Frank and Stick are in a bar when the bar is robbed by a guy weather a black jacket with red lettering. Question: What does the jacket say? That may a bit remote, but that is the idea. Thinking this could be a nice compliment to Touchstones and the type of thing that anyone could participate in while reading an Elmore book. Anyone in?

The jacket said Equal Time for Garbage Men.
