Elmore’s French publisher, Francois Guerif (Rivages), has brought out Up in Honey’s Room as Hitler’s Day, a variation on Elmore’s earlier title, Hitler’s Birthday.  In France your “birthday” is referred to as simply “day”, hence the title.

HarperCollins shied away from the title Hitler’s Birthday because they said, “Hitler doesn’t sell.” I guess they weren’t talking about guys like me who are a sucker for a book with Hitler in the title.

You can bet your Sancerre, Hitler sells in France. And Hitler’s Day is a must have for any serious collector.

Is this title cool or what?
