Will there be paperback re-releases of LaBrava, Out of Sight and/or Riding the Rap to coincide with the hardcover release of Road Dogs?

Swag, LaBrava and Out of Sight are being rereleased in new trade paperback editions starting in April.  Dates and artwork to follow.  Unfortunately, despite my efforts, Riding the Rap will apparently not be published before Road Dogs comes out.  Perhaps before the paperback.

SWAG back in print!

So what do you think of the SWAG trade paperback cover? What do you like or dislike about it?  This cover is the look of the new trade series.  Out of Sight and LaBrava are next.  I’m waiting for their release dates.

I really like it: a good-looking cover. The $ sign as the S in Swag is perhaps a little predictable, but aside from that, pretty good.

Well, as mentioned, I like the new Swag cover. I’d be interested to see the Out of Sight one too, when it’s ready.

I like it.  That suit looks like it fits Frank’s style.

It’s difficult sometimes to have an iconic image that represents the whole book. I guess this one is as good as any.  The new hardcover (RD) will be abstract/  More that soon.

Just updating this thread now that Out of Sight and LaBrava have been announced.  Again, what do you think?

Im very glad about the news about LaBrava and Out of Sight.  As new reader of EL any new printings are welcome over second hand books.

Swag cover sure grapped me when i saw it for the first time.

I just picked up all three. My local Borders (Eastchester, New York) apparently put them out a few days early. They’re very nicely done and beautifully bound. They remind me of the Charles Willfeford/Hoke Moseley re-issues a few years back.

I picked up the awesome looking Swag yesterday from my book pusher.  I preordered months ago.  I samples Swag alittle, its pretty cool.  I have soft spot for Stick too.  Man i love these thin, middle size paperbacks.  Very comfortable reading.

So I re-read LaBrava over the weekend.

The best line in the whole book?

Maurice: “I spent most of my dough on booze, broads and boats and the rest I wasted.”

I’m gonna go out on a limb here. LaBrava is the best novel ever written, that was set in Miami Beach. Bar none. Apologies to John D. MacDonald and Carl Hiaasen. I’m just sayin . . .
