How many more novels will Elmore write?

I’m gonna set the bar high and say six.  That’ll make 47 all told.

Who’s gonna research and come up with another author who’s written that many novels?  I can’t think of any off-hand.

After watching him talk and sign autographs for over two hours in Detroit, I’m going to say, “A lot more.” He said it used to take him four months to write a novel and now it takes eight or nine and when a woman asked why that was, he said, “I have to come up with new stuff.” I looked over at Gregg.

The thing about most writers is that only the “greatest hits” of their careers usually stay in print. I hope all of Elmore’s stick around.

Yeah, perhaps I set the bar a little too low.

I don’t mean to be morbid here, but the thought has to have passed through some of your domes.  No matter what the final tally is, Elmore will no doubt go down as one of America’s most prolific writers.  Haven’t checked yet, but guys like Dean Koontz or Stephen King might be approaching the 40 novel mark.
