Elmore needs to revise his prediction.  Tigers in 5?

He said after the defeat in Game One, “they had to lose one, come on, they won seven in a row.”  I think he’d call it five now, although it would be nice to clinch in Detroit.  But to paraphrase an Elmore Leonard character: “let’s get her done.”

Will the ‘06 Tiger squad remain crime-free as opposed to the ‘68 Tigers?  The Rifle Grip on the pitcher’s hat might be a crime though.

Too bad Detroit can’t celebrate a World Series title along with celebrating the completion of Elmore’s new book.  That was ugly.

We’ll be back and hopefully it’ll be prettier.

Yeah, hopefully.

Why didn’t Leland pitch Kenny Rogers in game 5?  Guys on the radio are all over him for that.  Leland saying he didn’t want to put Rogers into that atmosphere.  WTF??  Sure, he pitches better at home, but why doesn’t Kenny walk into Leland’s office before the game and demand the ball?  He’s their hottest pitcher and, with the rainouts, has had his normal rest.

I rooted for the Tigers, but the Cardinals proved they were worthy of the title, even if they only won 86 regular season games.

I realize this isn’t a sports forum and hope a little off-topic banter now and then is welcome.
Cheers
