Elmore Leonard was interviewed for the new John Sturges book, “Escape Artist: The Life and Films of John Sturges.”

Elmore wrote the screenplay for Sturges’ “Joe Kidd” and—a little-known fact—contributed scenes to “Chino”  (aka “The Valdez Horses”), starring Charles Bronson.

Elmore spoke at length about his work with Sturges.
