Besides BE COOL, we haven’t seen an Elmore Leonard book from the past ten years turned into a movie.  BE COOL does count as a movie, I think.

Which one would translate best to the screen?  Who should star in the movie?  Who, what, when, where. . .

Don Cheadle in TISHOMINGO BLUES would get my vote.  Sarah Silvermann in PAGAN BABIES would not be bad.

Tishomingo and Cheadle have long since parted company.  It’s a total mystery to me why none of these recent great books have sold to the movies.  I sent Sarah Silverman Pagan Babies but haven’t heard back from her.

Sarah Silverman would be perfect for PAGAN BABIES.
