My advice, go to amazon immediately and order Get Shorty on DVD, the two-disc special edition. It’s tremendous.
The first disc has the Get Shorty movie, now upgraded to HD and amazing to view. The second disc contains included scenes with extended commentary from Elmore, Travolta, Hackman, DeVito, Sonnenfeld, Scott Frank and others, but also has omitted scenes, a party reel, the Bravo Page to Screen episode, DeVito’s “no-cut day” reel, and a lot more.
All hardcore Elmore fans love this movie as the film truest to the book on which it’s based. If you’re in that category, you’ll find the second disc to be riveting, exhilarating, a real goldmine.
