Please help me out and report errors you get after posting or problems you have logging on.  This is the error I get after hitting the “Submit Post” button:

MySQL ERROR:

Error Number: 2013

Description: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

Query: UPDATE exp_forum_subscriptions SET notification_sent = ‘y’ WHERE topic_id = ‘35’ AND member_id = ‘22’

Yeah I am getting that error as well, but it always posts it even if I get that error page.

The test will be to not wait for the error (navigate to something else right away) and see if the post still goes through.  I’ll try using ‘fast reply’.  Here goes nothing.

Okay, I cheated.  I had to edit that post and the submitting of edits does not produce an error, and there’s very little delay before it is posted.  I’ll try again with the ‘submit post’ button, then navigate away fast and see if it works.

Another fast reply here.  That last post made it just fine.  I hit ‘submit post’ then right away hit my browser’s ‘stop’ button and the post was sent.

Sorry to rattle on here.  These posts have nothing to do with Mr. Leonard.  Still, it can be a tremendous nuisance to try and post messages to a message board that gives nothing but errors when doing so.  There are tons of forum programs out there if this one isn’t cutting it.  I too would like to get on with the real discussion.

The problems with the Discussion Forum I now believe are because it has been hacked. I just learned that.  Ramping up now for the launch of the new book next spring, I will get things figured out.  It just takes time, money and your continued support and patience.
