Elmore Leonard and Peter Leonard at Oakland University

11/28/2012, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Oakland University
Meadow Brook Theatre

Internationally-acclaimed novelist and screenwriter Elmore Leonard comes to OU. The Creative Writing Program in the Department of English welcomes the Detroit native and his son, Peter Leonard, also a novelist, to campus for a night of stories and discussion. The two writers will talk about “The Family Business”; the novels, screenplays and TV scripts they’ve written and their experiences with Hollywood. Elmore Leonard, hailed as the greatest American crime writer of all time, is the author of such works as “Freaky Deaky,” “Get Shorty,” and “Killshot,” and his work is the inspiration for the hit TV series “Justified.” Refreshments will be served.
