Characters:
In the Spanish bull ring danger wears so bright a cloack that a matador’s life or death may be decided in an instant as brief as a dropped heartbeat. But there are bull rings in the New World, too—and the blaze and the fury may ring out with clarion boldness.
This story was set in Blisston, Michigan circa late-fifties. Eladio Montoya, a former bull-fighter, is forced into an exhibition by Sherman David, businessman/gentleman farmer. Montoya lost his confidence years before after being gored by a bull. With the help of David’s companion, Megan, Montoya battles his uncertainty while in the ring and becomes whole again.
