Elmore’s son, Peter has just signed a two book deal with St. Martin’s Press.  His first book, Quiver, will be out probably in the Spring of 2008.  What do you all think of “Son of Elmore.”  Do you think his book will be judged (unfairly) against his father’s work or strictly on it’s own merits?  Would you buy Peter’s book?

First of all, a big congratulations to Peter Leonard.

Now, I think all writers are judged unfairly, but that’s just me. One of Stephen King’s sons publishes under another name, but Martin Amis did alright following his father.

I’ll cetainly take a look at Peter Leonard’s novel and, yeah, I’ll probably buy it.

I’ve just ordered Quiver. I noticed, (unless I failed to find it) that nobody has posted thier thoughts on the book, after reading.
